I'm still here.
Sorry my weekly Monday update is a little late (but it's still Monday!!). I haven't been on my computer since Friday morning. I needed a little break. If you wrote to me over the weekend, I'll be replying to you tomorrow. You have my word. :)
As for what I did over the weekend... Well, first of all, I finally got some sleep. Hadn't done that in a while. Felt good. Then, I made an actual effort to reeeeeeeeeeeeelax. My friends all know that that's something I don't do very well (or very often), but I gave it my all!
I ended up playing Persona 4.
I'd watched Ramiro play through it when it was new and really enjoyed it (I usually watch people play games rather than actually play them myself); and I decided to give it a go. I made a lot of different choices than Ramiro did when he played it originally and so "my" game is a bit different than his was. I had a lot of trouble in Kanji's dungeon (boss battle), but other than that the game's been surprisingly smooth sailing. I'm trying to rescue Rise right now. (Those of you who've played the game probably know exactly how much time I spent playing over the weekend... A looooooooooooooooooooot. You don't get from the start of the game to rescuing Rise in two days without putting in a ton of hours). So far, my favourite character is Yumi. I really hope she has a happy ending. Poor girl.Speaking of video games, did you guys hear the news about the Chinese guy who died while playing video games? Why haven't any of the news stories said what game he was playing??? If I were the reporter assigned to the story, that would have been one of the first things I'd have asked... Oh well.
I wrote a poem Friday night:
This page does not exist.
It will not be missed.
We have run into an error.
Too bad no one will care.
You have the wrong name.
There's no one but yourself to blame.
This file won't complete.
What you're looking for is a member of self-delete.
And a haiku:
They drunk I love them!
Chili sandwich arouse me...
Silly Babblefish.
Both of those were about/inspired by Babblefish (the free language translator). I love Babblefish. Not because it's that great...but because it makes everything hilarious. I've never once had Babblefish translate something completely correctly. Some of the lines in a poem (and almost all of the haiku) were taken directly from things I tried to translate with Babblefish.
I used to get my poem's published from time to time ("back in the good old days..."), but I haven't submitted anything in years.
But I am about to be published for something else (click on the picture to make it larger):
Remember that "creepy" comic I did a while back?? :)Anyway, I'm doing fine. I'm feeling much better now. And I'll get back to you all soon.
Thanks again for reading!
Until next time...
