Been About A Week...

Hey, Everyone!

It's been about a week since I last wrote to you, so I figured I should make a post.

Things are going really well lately. KNOCK WOOD!

My writing is really starting to "take off" now. I'm going to be removing my "I Will Write ANYthing (up to 500 words) For $5" gig from my Fiverr account shortly. I have one last job to do on there and then I'm getting rid of it. I'm already making 3 times that (or more!) everywhere else, so it doesn't make sense to be doing the same amount of work for so little!

In other news, Ramiro bought these today:He says that they "Really deaden up the atmosphere" and that "the interior deadcorator was a real bonehead." Sigh...

At least now people won't keep asking us why we have a curtain rod up in our room with nothing on it! There. Something's on it. ;P

Anyway, I've got to get back to work now. Busy busy.

Until next time...

"It's Not A Room, It's THE Room!"

Hey, Everyone!

Here's what Ramiro & my room looked like when I first moved in:Pretty bad, huh?

It took a long time for us to shift everything around and make things work, but, by January 10th, we had it looking like this:This layout served us pretty well for a long time, but the past few weeks, Ramiro's been saying "I want to rearrange our room! >:(" So today I said "Okay, then let's do it!"

It took hours, but this is what our room looks like as of today:Here's what was changed:
1.) We threw away a lot of trash and did a massive cleaning job.
2.) We got rid of one of the desks. Ramiro had found it "FREE!" on a sidewalk. That's where it is again. It was a pretty terrible desk. You can have it if you want it (and know where we live).
3.) We put Ramiro's art table where the terrible desk was. It's now his art table AND his computer table... Which is how he had it a long time ago, when he was quite productive.
4.) Ramiro's art chair is now his art/computer chair and the other chair is now by the TV for anyone to use (it has a heat/massage thing on it too and a pillow).
5.) Our nightstand is now by the TV. This upset me at first because I had been using it to do my writing on, but we went out and got me a lap desk with some of the money I've been earning and it's the BEST THING EVER. I'm very happy now. Though I do worry somewhat that I'll fall off our bed without the nightstand there to keep me from rolling... Though I guess I won't hit my head as often now. We'll see what happens!
6.) You can't see it, but we rearranged our bookshelf so things aren't stacked anymore. They're lined up like they should be. Also, we had a big bag/pile of VHS tapes lying around on the floor that's all tucked away now. We also put all the cat's toys in the cat bed (it was too small for them to actually sleep in) like a toy box. And they've actually been using it! Our "kids" are so smart! :3

We have a lot more floor space now (and we found out it's much easier to vacuum). It's going to take some getting used to, but Ramiro keeps saying "I love it! I love it!" and smiling happily and that makes me feel happy too. :)

Until next time...

The 6th Day

Wednesday (1), Thursday (2), Friday (3), Saturday (4), Sunday (5), Monday (6)... Okay, so, today's my 6th day in my new living space. And so far things are going great!

Ramiro and I share a room that's smaller than my old bedroom at my parents' house. Which has made things very tough/interesting. We've really had to make the most of the small space and we've both had to get rid of a lot of things.

Also, there's no "my stuff" and "your stuff" anymore. It's "our stuff." We've combined our DVDs, our VHS tapes, our CDs, our games, our books, our art supplies, and (omg!) our comic books. We share a very small closet. It's been a tough adjustment!

On the other hand, we're very grateful for each other's company (not to put words in his mouth or anything, but I happen to know he enjoys having me around). And I love having him around to talk to all the time. Now when I read/hear/see something, I don't have to think "Gee, I wish Ramiro was here to read/hear/see this too!" because he is here. So that's really nice. And, as I'm writing right now, I still have just enough privacy and space to think. Which is something I was concerned about (what with it being such a small space!). So that's quite a relief too!

The first meal we cooked together was a bit of a mixed bag. haha. The hamburger patties came out fantastic and the yams were great too (except that they finished about half-an-hour later than we anticipated). But we failed to follow the directions on this weird multi-grain pasta (boil water, then add the pasta) and it turned into a weird paste. And we didn't have any cream, butter or real cheese... So we made an Alfredo sauce out of milk, sour cream, and Parmesan powdered cheese. It actually tasted just about right (amazingly!), but was a bit grainy. Live and learn, right?

However, I've noticed that I have a lot less back pain here. And Ramiro noticed that I don't have my weird stomach distress hiccups anymore (my "meeps" for those of you who know me well). And I feel a lot more relaxed. Now that I have so much responsibility, there's really no time to be "emo" about things. It's a whole new beginning! :)

Anyway, Ramiro and I also share this computer now, so I should probably get off and let him have a turn!

Until next time...

Change of Address...

...Change of Life.

So.

I've moved out from my parents house. I'm now living with Ramiro.

I don't really want to discuss it right now, so please don't ask me too many questions. I know it's unexpected (for me too!!), but it's for the best.

I'll try to send my change of address to everyone I know, but if somehow you don't get the information, please feel free to e-mail me. And, provided you're someone I actually know and not some Internet crazy, I'll send it to you.

It's taking a lot of adjustment, but thus far I'm actually really happy. For one thing, since we now share a room, it's caused Ramiro and me both to be a lot less cluttered. We're totally Zen now. (haha, not quite, but the room we share is very tidy!)

I love my parents and I talk to them every day. And I visit them often. I miss my cat though. As of now, I can't talk about my cat (Dorian) out loud without crying. I couldn't afford to take him with me. But if anyone can take great care of my baby, it's Mom. She's a wonder with pets/animals.

Okay, well, expect an e-mail soon with my new address.

Until next time...
